Roller Coaster of Life

Day 4: High: even though this summer is going to be crazy busy I feel like I am really going to be able to think a lot about my future career plans. Low: stress of work is getting the best of me sometimes

Day 1: Weekend of Highs and a couple Lows

Highs: I got to stay in my apartment this weekend, a week until my 21st birthday, booked my flight to Vegas,  I finished my first week of training for Preview, I got to have lunch with my Oma and Opa, and ate Sushi for dinner.

Lows: There is literally sometimes nothing to do in Blo-No which can be difficult when you plan on spending your entire summer down here. I also have been sleeping way too much this weekend.  

New direction

So this year has honestly been a physical and emotional roller coaster for me. My family moved out of my childhood home, classes sucked, I won a scholarship,  i became an RA and quit being an RA, I led a high school tour and college tour, I was elected Symposium Chair for UPB, I made new friends, and I have lost some really good friends, I learned a lot about myself, and opened up more about myself that I have never told some people, I am hired as a Preview Guide for this summer, I doubted myself and what to do in my future, and a lot of random things that just added to it all. While I recently was inspired by  a few friends who have taken on the idea of using this summer to be creative and have blogs I looked back at my tumblr and wondered…

What is so unique about mine? 

I have always wanted to have an outlet… have some sort of way to write. I recently had a Creative Non-fiction class that I thought I would struggle in and ended up doing really well in it. So I kind of thought… Why am I not using my tumblr for its fullest potential? That got me the idea to make my tumblr the Highs and Lows… a typical STLF thing to do in any of its cores. So this summer and however long after this summer I plan to dedicate my tumblr to the Highs and Lows of Jackie. Some days will be a ton of highs, some a tons of lows, and some a little of both. Except I think sometimes the reality of life is we all go through the roller coasters to get the thrill out life. So if you have been following me…. hope you like this new idea.
